In addition I like the texture and the layering of this painting which has been created by using oil paints directly from the tube onto the canvas, being applied by a pallet knife. The direction in which the paint has been applied is in multiple directions and does not create such a flowing piece but a sense of disruption which is possibly why the harsh cold colours have been used.
